Craig is the Minister of Education and Music at Sycamore Hills Baptist Church in Independence, MO (suburb of Kansas City). His role encompasses many ministries of the church including: overseeing the Sunday school and discipleship groups, assisting and training teachers, planning and leading two corporate worship services, directing the adult choir, leading the children's music and being the leader for senior adults and events/activities at the church. Craig considers it a privilege to be leading and serving at his local church. Craig also is an adjunct instructor at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO.

Craig's conversion was in the front seat of a 1968 Corvair in the driveway of his childhood home. This was the first time that he saw how he was separated from God because of his sin and only the cross of Christ could be the bridge between him and God. At the age of 13, Craig sensed the call to Christian ministry. Over his teenage years, Craig's consistency in allowing God to be His Master and Lord wavered. While in the Air Force, the Lord confirmed His calling on Craig's life. He enrolled at Belmont University and graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Music with a Composition/Arranging Emphasis. Craig surrendered to his call to ministry in 2001 and started attending Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY where he graduated with a Master of Arts in Worship in 2004. While obtaining his degree, Craig became the guitar instructor for Boyce College and Seminary Academy and served there from 2003-2007.

While at Southern Seminary, Craig became interested in rewriting/rearranging hymns. Craig's first thought when he began practicing guitar was that he could play Christian music. This is what Craig is doing on a daily basis. His training at Belmont, at many churches, traveling as a side musician and teaching guitar lessons has given Craig a wonderful background for leading and assisting others to lead in the local church. Craig loves improvisation over many styles of music, but it is the words of hymnody that nourishes and satisfies his soul.

Craig was married to Staci in 2002. They have two boys Seth and Cole. Their present hometown is Blue Springs, MO but they will always miss their "Old Kentucky Home" because Craig and Staci were both born in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
