Description

A hymn on the love of God from the series of hymns titled "The Lord Is"

Lyrics

The Lord is loving, treasuring Himself above creation,
And shares this love from ages past with men from ev’ry nation.
He knows our thoughts and ways,
Has numbered all our days,
And longs for men to know
The pleasures He bestows.
His love is rich and constant.

The Lord has shown His saving love to people of His choosing
Though He knew they would hate His Son, His gift of love refusing.
To Him the Father gave
A people He would save,
That they might find in Christ
Ineffable delights
And ever praise and love Him.

The Lord will never separate us from His love in Jesus.
To honor Him in word and deed His lovingkindness frees us.
So let us love the saints
And foes without restraint
And cherish Christ our King
As of His love we sing.
Come worship and adore Him!
