For I am His

Another song of love for the Lord Jesus, "For I am His" explains why He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24). Because He drew us, suffered for us, and is so gentle and wise, our heart's desire is to give Him our lives. May we say with the song, "For I am His".

I've found a friend, O, such a friend!
He loved me before I knew Him;
He drew me with the cords of love,
To bind me forever to Him.

For I am His and He is mine, Forever and forever.
My heart, my strength, my life, my all,
Are His and His forever, For I am His.

I've found a friend, O, such a friend!
He suffered, and died to save me;
And not alone the gift of life,
But gave up His own self for me.

I've found a friend, O, such a friend!
So gentle, and true, and tender;
So wise a guide and counselor,
So mighty and strong a defender.

Hi , Iove your new arrangement of this old hymn. I was going to use it at my church this Sunday. Would it be possible to send the piano score to my email add please? (

Unfortunately I won't be able to write a piano arrangement of this song before Sunday and am not sure when I can get to it. Hopefully you can pick it up by ear though!
